Brief History:

M. Marzouk Ibrahim was born in Alexandria Egypt (1937) and received the B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University in June 1960 and the Dr.-Ing. degree in Feb. 1966 from the Technical University of Karlsruhe (TH) in Germany.

He joined the Electrical Engineering staff Member Dept. in Ain Shams University (Cairo) as Assistant Prof.(1967),Assoc. Prof. (1972), Prof. and Chairman of the Electronics & Communication group (1977)

He planned, supervised, directed a protocol of Scientific Cooperation between his group and the microwave group at the Technical Uni. in Braunschweig (Germany), Prof. Dr.-Ing. H.G. UNGER, for 6 years (1978-1983), mainly for design and implementation of microwave oscillators using new technique. Besides, he supervised the establishment of the Microwave Integrated Circuits Lab (MIC) in conjunction with the German group in Braunschweig. The same supervision was done for the establishment of the electronic Integrated Circuit Lab in conjunction with the French group in Grenoble. He taught courses in : semiconductor electronics, electronic circuits, microwave semiconductors, digital electronics, and technology of TV circuits, in some Arab Universities (King Saud Uni. in Riyadh, 1973-1977 & King Abdulaziz Uni. in Jeddah, 1986-1989 both in Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates Uni. in Al-Ain (1983-1984), and in Egyptian Universities.

Moreover, he has served on various Conferences Committees and was the Technical Program Chairman of the International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM'91) held in Cairo, 21-23 Dec. 91. He published more than 40 papers in Scientific and technical Journal and Conference Proceedings in multiple Elect. Eng. activities : Semiconductor Electronics, Electronic Circuits, Active Circuits, Digital Signal Processing Solar Cells, and Colour TV Technology.

Beside consultation for industry and governmental projects in the area of Electronics & Communication. Also, He had been invited by many Universities and Technical Colleges for teaching and directing research activities.
